Before joining Corporate Dining Concepts, chef Drew Cohen studied under master chefs in Paris, Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, Kyoto, Tokyo and the eastern Caribbean. Cohen earned a certificate from Le Cordon Bleu college of culinary arts in Paris, France, and is acknowledged for culinary excellence from Chefs of America.
Cohen lives and breathes food and cooking both inside and outside of the corporate kitchen. "My real passion is barbecue," he said. Cohen is a certified pitmaster and a certified Kansas City BBQ Society judge. He has worked at Sweetgrass Smokerie and Jim ‘n Nick’s, two Nashville-based barbecue establishments.
Cohen comes to HudsonAlpha most recently from the Dolce and Ketchup restaurants, part of the L.A.-based Dolce Group franchise.
"I feel strongly about creating relationships," Cohen said. "I really want feedback from cafe customers. If you have requests, dietary restrictions or even a favorite menu item, please don’t hesitate to contact me. I will do my best to get your preferences on the menu." Cohen looks forward to starting work on Monday, May 9.
