We are developing new methods for targeted DNA sequencing that are applicable to our ongoing epigenetic studies of autoimmune diseases. These methods involve the capture of the MHC locus, a key region of the human genome where multiple immune-related genes reside. The internship will involve the optimization of our capture methods for this locus and the analysis of the MHC locus in patients with lupus.
Individuals with molecular laboratory experience or computational experience preferred.
